Prosol Project Solutions is a UK based consultancy providing a world-wide response to asbestos management.

WHO ARE WE?

Founded in 1995, Prosol Project Solutions is a UK based consultancy providing a world-wide response to asbestos remediation project design and asbestos management issues, including all related support services in environments ranging from Cathedrals in Europe, to operational oil and gas tankers in the South China Sea, and everywhere in between.

We may not be the biggest, but we are personable, flexible, highly professional and have 30 years’ experience in the industry. Our personal attention and flexible attitude to every project - large or small means we can deal equally with an international shipping fleet, or a small domestic residence. Apart from our proven expertise in managing asbestos on ships, we also have in-depth knowledge and experience of listed and/or historic buildings, buildings of architectural importance, and buildings that are simply different and architecturally interesting.

WHAT DO WE DO?

In the UK, Regulation 4 (Duty to manage) of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 places a specific duty at those who manage non-domestic premises, in other words the people with responsibility for protecting others who work in such premises, visit the premises, or in some cases even live in the premises from the potential health risks that can be caused by asbestos exposure. Similar regulations are in place all over the world, including for the marine industry.

In order to help achieve compliance with the plethora of rules and regulations, particularly for organisations who operate globally, Prosol provide a range of services that can be utilised individually, or as a complete solution, or as a combination to suit your particular needs. These include:

  • Surveys aimed simply at managing asbestos (literally an asbestos management survey)
  • Asbestos surveys prior to demolition or refurbishment (both all-encompassing or targeted)
  • Asbestos and refractory ceramic fibre [RCF] surveys on gas/oil tankers, cargo vessels, cable-laying/repair vessels, etc.
  • Preparation of asbestos management plans that are specific and relevant to your organisation, including presenting the plan to personnel, and subsequent reviews and updates (where necessary or desired)
  • Planned maintenance reviews to establish where surveys may need to be targeted, and in what timeframe
  • Advice on internationally accepted asbestos removal or treatment methods and standards
  • Preparation of project specifications, tender evaluation, vetting and appointment of contractors
  • Project management of asbestos remediation
  • Dealing with local and/or international authorities, including cross-border asbestos issues

AND WHERE?

As well as working internationally in such diverse countries as Singapore, Japan, Malaysia, Hong Kong, India, UAE, South Africa and of course all of Eastern and Western Europe, we naturally also operate on a local level and can offer the same exceptional standards of service to commercial, industrial and domestic residential clients within our ‘home’ area covering London, Berkshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire, and Wiltshire.
